Can’t beat us up too much if you have to turn around in a few minutes to ask us to help you use you cell phone.

I think the key to falling in love with the show is falling in love with Don Draper…or January Jones…or both.

Smart, hip people under 40 generally adore it. I can’t get into it. I’ve watched several shows and it seems to me that even though the clothes and hair and settings etc. are great, everything else is so totally NOT the 1950s/60s. The dialogue, the relationships, the attitudes, the premise of each scene ring so false. Any suggestions on how to like Mad Men so I can excitedly talk about it on Monday morning with everyone else?
