Me
I’m Pamela Redmond Satran, and I’m old enough to have written 17 18 a whole lotta books. My novel Younger, which is about a woman who reads How Not To Act Old and uses its excellent ideas to pass as younger, is being developed into a television series by Darren Star, and will star Sutton Foster and Hilary Duff. My most recent novel is called The Possibility of You, and is about three women at three key moments of the past century grappling with problems of motherhood and independence.
I’m also the coauthor with Linda Rosenkrantz of ten bestselling baby-naming books (Beyond Jennifer & Jason, Cool Names for Babies) and the cofounder of the website Nameberry. And I cowrite The Glamour List, write for The Daily Beast and The Huffington Post, and am the author of a book called 1000 Ways To Be A Slightly Better Woman.
I’ve been married since before most of my editors were born, and have three children: Rory, Joe, and Owen. I live in Montclair, NJ, where I founded a group of nearly 800 writers and editors called MEWS. For even more about me, go to my website.
Here’s a selfie I took on my front porch, not all that many years ago. I look like this, on a very good day.
